The Challenge
Blue Water Cay is a new luxury community rising on the shores of Nassau, Bahamas. At its heart is the marina, the very thing that sets the tone for the entire development. The challenge was to create docks that were not just functional, but a statement. A place where future residents and visitors would measure the quality of the whole community from the moment they tie up.
The Solution
Marina Technologies designed and installed its D-260 aluminum floating dock system, engineered to meet Category 3 hurricane wind and wave loading. Composite decking, 10-ton adjustable cleats, and large top-access utility troughs ensure resilience without sacrificing style. Coordinated with dredging, rock placement, and upland dry-stack assembly, the system makes luxury look effortless. Here, the marina isn’t an amenity. It’s the address.
The Results
Phase 1 of the marina was completed without issue, giving Blue Water Cay a safe and elegant waterfront that matched the development’s high-end vision. The new docks are golf-cart compatible and designed for seamless service, from fueling to power. Owners were so pleased with the outcome that MTI is now designing Phase 2. Proof that a well-built marina can do more than serve boats. It can shape a community.
